Young India Culinary Championship 2026–27
Ridge Valley School hosted the CBSE Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026–27 – School Level, bringing together young culinary enthusiasts from Grades VI–XII across two exciting categories: Non-Fire Cooking and Fire Cooking.
The championship was a vibrant celebration of creativity, culinary skills, nutrition, hygiene, presentation, teamwork and responsible use of resources. The 68 students participating in the Non-Fire Cooking category showcased their imagination through innovative creations such as sushi, tacos, cheesecake and moong dal salad, while the senior students demonstrated confidence and independence through fire-based cooking techniques, thoughtful menu planning and elegant presentation.
The event provided an enriching learning-by-doing experience, encouraging students to see culinary arts not only as an essential life skill but also as a pathway to innovation, entrepreneurship and future careers. A wonderful showcase of young talent, where creativity met the kitchen and learning came alive!
