"To learn to read is to light a fire" was well presented by the young learners of KG-A in their assembly on 'jolly phonics'. The potential to pick up words from the sounds of letters was interestingly portrayed through dialogues, rhymes and fun questions by highlighting how the letter sounds aid expanding the vocabulary. The switching of letter sounds to produce new words using letter figures by the confident young presenter made for a magic-like conclusion to the pedagogic theme.
