Capacity Building Programme on Mathematics grade X

OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY:
The objective of the workshop was:
To explore the reasons due to which students face problems in Mathematics.
To conduct meaningful activities in order to make Mathematics more interesting.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The workshop was conducted by Ms.Ishita Mukerjee, Member FDRC, Delhi and Ms. Rama, VP, Army Public School, Noida. It was conducted by Hansraj Model School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. The objective of the Workshop was to explore the reasons due to which students face problems in Mathematics. So, a lot of common errors were being discussed. Different teaching methods were revisited. Format of lesson plan was discussed. A few activities were conducted to demonstrate how teaching-learning process can be made more meaningful and interesting.

WHAT WENT WELL: The workshop was well organized.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT NEXT TIME THIS ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE:
The duration of the workshop could have been short. The teachers should have been given some ideas about the new bifurcation of Basic and Standard exam in grade X.
