25th National Children’s Science Congress, district level guide teacher’s training workshop
Science teachers of Ridge Valley School went for 25th National Children’s Science Congress, district level guide teacher’s training workshop, organised by Haryana Vigyan Manch, Gurugram.
Topic for this year’s Science congress is: “Science, Technology& Innovation for Sustainable Development.”
Age groups for participation: Junior level 10 to14
Senior level 14+ to 17
District and State level Science congress – to be held in October
National level science congress- to be held in December
They guided the teachers to make science more student-centric, where students should ask and answer questions on the basis of their observation and experiments.
Students should be taught to follow a scientific method to carry out their researches.
Students will be divided in groups of minimum 3 to a maximum 5.
They will choose a topic from a list given, related to any problem that is prevalent and look for its solution, using scientific method.
Students would be asked to work on their topic for 15- 20 days and then present it.
Students will be making their project reports and should make posters and charts for supporting their work.
A school can select their best 2 teams for district level.
The best projects would be chosen and sent for higher levels.
