Soccer Festival At RVS

  On 30th May 2015 the Gurgaon traffic police conducted a seminar on Road safety at the Epicenter, Gurgaon. Ms Shalna Chand Head of Junior School attended the same on behalf of RIDGE VALLEY SCHOOL. The topic of the seminar was Community engagement initiative- The 5th ‘E’. The seminar began with the welcome address by Mr. Saurabh Singh (IPS), Joint Commissioner of Police, HQ. The same was followed by a presentation on let’s talk about road safety by Ms Bharti Arora (IPS), Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic. A special video was also screened on this topic which helped the audience to realize how and why road accidents take place and how they can be stopped. Some of the key stakeholders like ADG CID, member of NHA1, RTA, POLICE, and HOSPITALS took vows and explained as to how they would contribute towards road safety. The audience had distinguished members from the Judiciary, Media, Police, Civilians, RTA Hospitals, Civic help, Schools and residential areas. The focus was on the pillars responsible for the road safety. These pillars are Engineering, Education, Enforcement, Emergency care and Engagement. Ms Bharti explained the positive and negative roles of these pillars during her presentation. The Gurgaon Traffic Police is also organizing a summer camp for the children to apprise them with road safety norms. The whole experience was an eye opener and also very educative.
