Teachers Day Celebration

"A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others," they say, and rightly so! A teacher’s job is all encompassing-from shaping personalities to imparting knowledge, from instilling values to boosting confidence, from academic pursuits to co-curricular enhancement, from being mentors to giving pastoral care – teachers do it all in a day’s work! It is, thus, in place, that we celebrate the contribution of teachers. Luckily for us, there is a special day designated for teachers- 5th September, the birth anniversary of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Ridge Valley School, unique in its ways as always, celebrated teacher’s day with warmth and affection. Teachers were given personalized compliments by the Principal, Mrs. Guneet Ohri to appreciate and encourage them. This was followed by a cake cutting ceremony. End of the week, the teachers were invited for a mega lunch at the Culture Gully, Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. The entire staff of RVS gathered there at 2pm, 8th Sept, 2017. The camaraderie of the team was explicit as they shared dishes of their choice, clicked memorable pictures and indulged in light hearted banter. The team let down their hair and shook an energetic leg with the lively Punjabi dance troupe performing Bhangra! It was a great bonding time for all and a refreshing change from the hectic routine.
