Talk by Mr. Sonam Wangchuk

As the clouds gathered around early in the day, the messenger of rebellious innovation made his way to Ridge Valley School, Gurgaon on the 26th of August, 2017. The Mountain Man's arrival was celebrated with curious minds behind intrigued eyes bubbling with many little questions.

This was a magnetic feather in Ridge Valley’s Cap with none other than the revolutionary innovator and education reformist Mr. Sonam Wangchuk joining their list of most inspirational speakers in the Guest Speaker Series 2017. Mr. Wangchuk gave a lecture on how the world needs to wake up to its own potential. He spoke on how the future rests in the hands of those who decide to make a change. With his wise words, Mr. Wangchuk inspired not just children but everyone gathered to think out-of-the-box and try to improve the life condition of everyone around them. The true learning achieved in this lecture was that education is not limited to classrooms, and the echoes of this truth found its comforting niche in Ridge Valley as the school reverberates with the same principle every single day. Mr. Wangchuk patiently answered all questions posed by children in a brief Q & A session that followed. To express their love, the young ones presented him with a portrait of his sketched by their childish little fingers. Mr Wanghchuk planted a tree in the Ridge Valley garden as a promise from the School that it will forever behold the commitment to encourage children believe that they can change the future and it is in their own hands. Principal Ms. Guneet Ohri expressed her heartfelt gratitude to him, the dignitaries present, management and the parent community for gracing the occasion.
