Music, they say, is the universal language of mankind. In perfect harmony with the same, students from Grades III to VIII enjoyed a musical morning on 21st July’17. Beautiful musical notes filled up the Amphitheatre and charged the atmosphere as the participants took the stage. There were moments of musical euphoria and the audience clapped and crooned along energetically, throwing the heat and humidity into oblivion!
Harmony: Inter house Music Talent Hunt was a house-wise competition divided into 3 main categories- solo singing, duet singing and the Hindi segment. These performances were interspersed by some special performances of students who weren’t competing yet were so talented that the teachers felt they must come up on stage to showcase their talent. The entire event was filmed and photographed by the RVS students of ‘Director’s cut’ club.
The judges for the day, Ms. Ghosh and Ms. Niketha Sushil Kumar were highly impressed with the talent and confidence displayed by the students. Ms. Ghosh expressed the desire to see more students taking up Indian classical music in future. Speaking on the occasion, they praised the school management and Principal for conducting such activities which promote musical talent.
