Magic in Science
Students of Grades 5 -9 participated in “Magic in science” activity where they presented their magic tricks and explained the scientific concept behind their tricks.
The students were split into 2 groups Grades 5 and 6 formed one group while Grades 7-9 the second. The children worked in pairs. Each pair / group came and presented their tricks while others as audience asked questions. The students got an opportunity to show the hidden scientist in them by performing some wonderful and exciting scientific tricks like “can crusher”, “bending light”, “invisible ink”, “hydraulic lifter”, “rainbow in a test tube”, “lava lamp” and many more, that amazed everyone and generated curiosity . The venue was abuzz with the question “Why and How does it happen?”
This activity was the school and students way of paying tribute to the Great scientist and the Late President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary.
