“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams.
On the fine morning of 15th May, 2015, the deserving young talents of Ridge Valley School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence. With the vigorous beats of the drums and a march playing, the new council marched in procession up the aisle and on to the stage. They stood upright with their heads held high and their hearts in humility as each picked up their precious flags. The badges were pinned by the Principal, Mrs. Ohri and the Head of Junior School, Mrs.Shalna Chand. The Investiture Ceremony thus marked the inaugural of the junior and senior student council for the academic session 2015-16.
With pride and a sense of achievement surging in their hearts, the school listened with bated breath as the Principal, Mrs. Guneet Ohri delivered a motivational speech, urging them to have a clear conscience while delineating their duties. She stressed on the importance of honesty, integrity and loyalty as vital qualities for positions of dignity. With these responsibilities placed on the firm shoulders of the student council, the newly appointed office-bearers vowed to act as role models for the rest of the school to emulate. The momentous ceremony ended with the school song and the National Anthem. Smiling and jubilant, the student council marched ahead immediately to take on their new office.
