"Without Labour Nothing Prospers"
With this thought in our hearts & mind, May 1st , each year holds a very special place in the Ridge Valley School calendar. This year the May Day as celebrated not only to create awareness about how the labour movement started all over the world but also appreciate the work our Didi’s and bhaiya’s put in for us to make our life simpler .
The morning began with a special assembly in the amphitheatre conducted by students of Grade 5. The morning prayer was followed by a short skit scripted by the students themselves. The skit revolved around a ‘Mali Bhaiya’ who no matter how much effort he put in, wasn’t appreciated for his hard work. Followed by a second skit where the house keeping bhaiya was thanked and appreciated for the effort he had put in to make our lives simpler. The skit ended with audience being asked which skit they liked better? Audience’s unanimous decision was with the second skit.
Our Principal Ms. Guneet Ohri graced the Assembly with her inspiring words of encouragement for the didi’s and bhaiya’s of our school and inspired encourage of our school to respect our helpers. She also with the help of our students distributed special cards made by Nursery, KG and Grade 1 and token of appreciation to our didi’s and bhaiya’s.
The event culminated with a song “Sathi hanth badhana”.
