Date: 30th January 2015
Venue: Shiksha School , Sector 40, Gurgaon
Classes: 6 to 8
The students from grade 6 to 8 visited the Shiksha School, in sector 40, Gurgaon as a part of Outreach Program on the 30th of January 2015. The Shiksha School is a school for the underprivileged children and youth, supported by the DLF Foundation.
Our students interacted with the children and teachers of the school. The school in charge Mr. Chabbra met our students personally and took them along for the school tour. He also showed them various classrooms and IT lab and shared information about various learning engagements and activities done throughout the day in their school. Our Students enthusiastically presented the street play in Hindi,” Cancer Ke Khilaaf Halla Bol” which was seen and appreciated by almost 400 students of the Shiksha School. The street play emphasized upon regular health check-ups for everybody and how smoking and drugs can harm the youth. It was an engaging and enriching experience for the two schools. This visit gave our students a platform to know about the school and students in depth by interacting and sharing their ideas with them. The self-discipline of the students of Shiksha School demonstrated their responsible attitude towards themselves and their work. We look forward to many such opportunities to share our learning experiences with them and theirs with ours.
